      <image:caption>CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Doing CrossFit since 2013 Coaching since 2016 I grew up playing organized sports such as soccer and baseball but really fell in love with physical training in my 30's. I began doing high-intensity boot camp style workouts and then jumped into CrossFit in 2013. Learning the different movements and workouts was both addicting and intimidating to me at first having never really lifted weights much before. Since then, I've learned so much about weightlifting, mobility, how to move correctly, body management and how to pace workouts correctly. I also enjoy incorporating distance running and some periodic yoga into my training as well. What really keeps me coming back to Crossfit is the sense of community and support that coaches and other CrossFitters so generously give each other! Favorite W.O.D. Fight Gone Bad</image:caption>

I then tried football in high school and it wasn't my calling. Then I did high school and all star cheer where I competed twice in the world championship. I love that in CrossFit we do something different everyday, I usually have no clue what I will be doing and it allows me to focus on the work in front of me. I also love that everyone is doing the same workout and that each movement can be scaled for anyone's physical ability. The year following I ran 2 half marathons and a full marathon, but decided I wanted something different. I wanted to get stronger. In the spring of 2019 I started classes at CrossFit Cameron park and fell in love with the classes and the workouts. During this time I also coached injury prevention and rehabilitation for the local high schools Track and Field Team. In 2020 I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology Exercise Science from Sac State. I got my L1 in October and love getting to help others get fitter both mentally and physically. I don’t  recommend adding in workouts or water consumption. Step 1 - Find “Goals” Enter your current weight and goal weight. If you want to make a change pick a half a pound a week to start. Step 2 - Go to the calorie, carb, and protein goals. Adjust to 40 carb, 30 Protein, and 30 fat to start. This can be adjusted later if needed. This is a great place to start for most, focus on protein it is the most important, it takes the most calories to digest and it will allow you to keep or build muscle while in a calorie deficit. Weight loss is more likely to stall without muscle. Step 3 - Use the diary tab on the bottom to enter the food you eat. Put in the time to learn how to do this, it gets easier as you go. Precise weighing isn’t important at first but you should be close. If you have no idea then get a food scale or research how to measure somewhat accurately without one. Step 4 - Once you are logging your food use the nutrition tab or the graph button and then press on the “macros” list. This will show you your current macro ratio of what you have entered for the day and will help you decide what to eat for the rest of the day. Work to achieve the 40,30,30 Ratio. Click on the Calorie Tab to see how many calories you are at for the day. Work to stay near your goal number. Consistency is key. If one day isn’t great, get back as close as you can to your goals the next day.</image:caption>
